Sharan Dhaliwal, Founder & Co-Director (she/her)

Sharan is founder of Burnt Roti magazine, creator of queer speed dating night Oh Queer Cupid and an activist, concentrating on sexuality, politics and race. She was named on BBC 100 Women 2019, DIVA Power List 2022, featured on the cover of Attitude magazine, Cannes Lion 2021, Adidas Women’s History Month, front page of the Guardian, Attitude 101 2023 and nominated for Broadcast, Journalist or Host at the British LGBT Awards in 2023. Her new book Burning My Roti is out now.

Sabah Choudrey, Director (they/he)

Reluctant activist on most things trans, brown and hairy. Public speaker, writer and psychotherapist in training.  Proud trans youth worker since 2014 at Gendered Intelligence, trustee of Inclusive Mosque Initiative and co-founder of Colours Youth Network supporting LGBTQ BPOC young people in UK. Winner of the Gay Times Future Fighters Honour 2021 and author of Supporting Trans People of Colour: How To Make Your Practice Inclusive.

Hannah Wiltshire, National Trust Liaison (she/her)

Hannah grew up in Middlesex, and has worked at Osterley for six years. She is passionate about celebrating queer lives, and making everyone feel welcome within the National Trust, and has been regional co-ordinator for the LGBTQ+ network for five years.

Anji Suri, Social Media Manager (they/them)

Anji is a queer full-time student living in Pinner, North-West London. They are their school’s Diversity and Inclusion prefect, having been the president of both the South Asian and the LGBTQ+ Societies at Haberdashers’ Girls’ School. They are passionate about spreading queer joy, particularly among young people, and organised their school’s Pride Party which was attended by over 300 students and staff.

Savan-Chandni (aka Sav), Content Creator (she/her and she/they)

Sav is a freelance content creator who lives in Pinner, North-West London. Sav is also Trans, Queer, Autistic and Neurodivegent and is a massive Pokémon fan. In the past Sav has worked for PinkNews, interned at Sky Creative Agency and was a contributor for BBC Click. Sav loves creating a variety of content in her spare time and she has loved working in TV, Radio and doing online content over the years.

Will Bajwa, Inclusion and Sustainability (he/him)

Will is a student and activist who grew up in Hayes. He focuses on queer liberation and climate justice, helping to organise protests and rallies within his university. He cares deeply about uplifting intersectionality and community within activism. 

Louisa Webster, Creativity Facilitator (she/her)

Louisa is a drama and movement therapist. She grew up in Middlesex and now lives in Surrey with her wife and sausage dogs. She has previously volunteered with National Student Pride and Gendered Intelligence. Louisa looks forward to utilising her therapeutic and creative skills to create a safe and expressive space at Middlesex Pride.
