Sharan Dhaliwal, Founder & Director (she/they)

Sharan is the founder of Burnt Roti magazine and a freelance journalist and editor, covering topics around immigration, race and politics. She is a consultant for museums and is working towards becoming a queer historian. She is a mentor for young people at the LGBT+ charity Just Like Us. Sharan was named BBC 100 Women 2019, DIVA Power List 2022 & 2023, featured on the cover of Attitude magazine, Cannes Lion 2021, Adidas Women’s History Month, front page of the Guardian, Attitude 101 2023 and nominated for Broadcast, Journalist or Host at the British LGBT Awards in 2023. Her new book Burning My Roti is out now.

Sabah Choudrey, Director (they/he)

Award-winning, reluctant activist on all things trans, brown, and hairy. Sabah co-founded Trans Pride Brighton in 2013, the UK’s first trans pride event. They have spent a decade working with trans youth at Gendered Intelligence and co-founded Colours Youth Network. Now, they serve as a Middlesex Pride Director and Vice Chair of Inclusive Mosque Initiative. A psychotherapist, artist wellbeing practitioner, and DEI consultant, Sabah was named on the Diversity Power List 2025 and Attitude 101 2026 Trailblazers. Their TEDx talk Brown, Trans, Muslim and Proud has 103K+ views, and their book Supporting Trans People of Colour is out now.

Anji Suri, Director (they/them)

Anji is a student from Harrow, currently living in King’s Cross. They’re passionate about queer youth inclusion and helping to create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere at Middlesex Pride. Having joined the team in 2023, they’re incredibly proud to have grown alongside the event. They’ve spent the last few years doing a mix of queer and trans community work - youth advocacy, student officer roles, and helping run events prioritising communities that often go overlooked.

Hannah Wiltshire, Event Manager (she/her)

Hannah has been working with Middlesex Pride since 2023, and is passionate about creating an event that celebrates and strengthens the queer community in Middlesex.

Will Bajwa, Inclusion, Accessibility and Sustainability (he/him)

Will is a student and activist who grew up in Hayes. He focuses on queer liberation and climate justice, helping to organise protests and rallies within his university. He cares deeply about uplifting intersectionality and community within activism. 

Louisa Webster, Creativity Facilitator (she/her)

Louisa is a drama and movement therapist. She grew up in Middlesex and now lives in Surrey with her wife and sausage dogs. She has previously volunteered with National Student Pride and Gendered Intelligence. Louisa looks forward to utilising her therapeutic and creative skills to create a safe and expressive space at Middlesex Pride. 

Hanita Gill, Event Organiser (they/them)

Hanita is a queer South Asian organiser from Southall, passionate about building local LGBTQ+ community groups rooted in care and justice. They joined Middlesex Pride in 2025 to help create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported.

Jânay Chandramohan, Event Organiser (she/they)

Jânay is a queer, mixed race musician who grew up in Middlesex. With a passion for mental health awareness and an unashamed love for spreadsheets, Jânay enjoys volunteering at events to support comfort & safety whilst analysing & learning from data in between events.
